Jean de Gastines Architectes

From April 16, 2005 until May 14, 2005, the Galerie d?Architecture (75004 Paris) hosted an exhibition of the works of Jean DE GASTINES architectural studio. A selection of 16 projects represent the main activities within the architectural studio: vineyard projects, a specialization that emerged as a result of the design and constrtuction of the wine cellars Château Pichon Longueville (Pauillac), 1988 – projects related to tourism and spas – private houses, and work in association with the architect Shigeru Ban.

The scenography is based on the arrangement of plywood boxes of various sizes. For each project, models, panel presentations, images and plans are placed inside of a box. The visitor is invited to walk from one to another the visitor may also take advantage of empty boxes arranged throughout the exhibit that serve as seating.
